OUR CARE APPROACH
We developed a systematic approach to provide excellent care and support to our clients. We divided them into phases as follows:
Initial Intake Assessment
Psychological evaluations take place in this phase. The client’s needs and his or her treatment goals are identified during assessments, and necessary initial processes for enlisting our services are completed.
Orientation
We coordinate our clients’ care with their families and caregivers by equipping them with intervention skills. First family consultation may take place in this phase. Our professionals start to build rapport too at this phase, and the treatment plan is finalized for implementation after several encounters and observations.
Treatment Plan Implementation and Monitoring
The customized treatment plan that was prepared for the client is now being implemented in this phase. Regular monitoring is conducted to determine if necessary changes have to be made to the treatment plan. Another family consultation can also be scheduled during this phase.
Evaluation of Progress Report
Feedback, records, and results of the monitoring, family consultations, and the treatment plan as a whole are evaluated in this phase to determine the effectiveness of the treatment plan. The plan may be changed from time to time depending on the patient’s response to the treatment.

Eligibility is limited to families residing in Maryland, and applicants must meet specific criteria, including income limits set by the state Medicaid program. Additionally, it must be demonstrated that the child requires specialized services tailored to their unique needs related to autism.
How Do I Apply for Autism Waiver Services?
To apply for Autism Waiver Services, parents or legal guardians should first contact the Waiver Services Registry at +1-866-417-3480 to be placed on the Autism Waiver Registry. This registry serves as a list of individuals interested in accessing waiver services. The application process typically involves providing details about the child’s diagnosis, needs, and family situation, along with any necessary supporting documentation.
How Long Does It Take to Get Approved for Autism Waiver Services?
Currently, the Autism Waiver program has a significant waitlist, with an estimated wait time of approximately eight years for approval. To qualify for the waiver, a child must not have more than $2,000 in resources and assets. The review of the child’s financial assets considers a five-year look-back period. It is essential for families to inform relatives to avoid making large monetary gifts or transferring assets such as stocks directly to the child or in their wills, as this could affect eligibility.
